Prayer is the life wire of the believer. Luke 18:1; 1Thes.5:21
Every child of God is a house (temple) 1 Cor.3.9; 1Cor 6.19
But God’s house is ordained the house of prayer in all nations, Mat 21:11; Mark 11:17; Luke 19:4
We know that every uninhabited house is occupied by rodents, cockroaches, spiders etc, Mat 12:43-45
This is why a prayer less believer easily becomes a victim of the torment of unclean spirits, Mat 10:1, Hos.5.4; Rom 8:15
Jesus shows the pattern of prayer that believers should use, Mat 6:9-13 as follows;
- Worship and Praise Mat 6:9, Ps 100:4
- Praying Kingdom advancement prayers, Mat 6: 10; 1 Tim.2.4; 2pet 3.9
- Praying for personal needs – Mat 6:11; Jam 4.2; Mat 7:7-8, 11
- Praying for forgiveness, Mat 6.12, Ps 66.18-19, 1 John 1:8-9
- Praying for Deliverance from evil, Mat 6:13, Mat 266:41
- Thanking God in advance for answered prayers Mat. 6.13; Phil 4:6
